Terms of use
These terms explain how iCan Thinking works, what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you. Please read them before you join. Last updated: 24 October 2026.
Who we are
iCan Thinking is a trading name of Marcus Thomlinson Consultancy, run by Marcus Thomlinson as a sole trader. You can contact us at info@icanthinking.com. Address: Marine Point, West Parade, Worthing, BN11 5EE.
What we offer
iCan Thinking is coaching and education. It is not therapy, counselling or medical treatment, and it does not replace professional help. If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to your GP or a qualified professional. In the UK you can call Samaritans free, any time, on 116 123.
- iCan Start is free and includes the community, daily habits and taster lessons.
- iCan Commit gives you the guided courses and tools in the iCan app, for a monthly or yearly fee.
- iCan Together is a weekly live drop-in hour: teaching on your course, live coaching on questions you send in beforehand, and accountability. It includes everything in iCan Commit.
- iCan Mastermind is a business group of up to 12 people with a weekly mastermind session, guest speakers and strategic check-ins.
- iCan Personal is one-to-one coaching, by application.
- iCan Grow is our business programme. Its fees, any fee deferment and any profit-share are set out in a separate written agreement with you before you start.
The price and what is included are shown when you sign up. We may change prices for new customers at any time. We will give existing members at least one month's notice before any change affects them.
Paying and notice
- Monthly plans continue until you cancel. To cancel, give us one month's notice by email to info@icanthinking.com. You pay for the notice month, and the plan ends when it finishes.
- iCan Together weekly drop-ins are a six month engagement, with fees paid monthly. After the six months, the plan continues monthly and you can cancel with one month's notice.
- iCan Mastermind groups are a 12 month engagement, with fees paid monthly.
- Yearly plans are paid in advance for 12 months.
Leaving early
We want you to get real value from iCan Thinking. If for any reason you do not find full value in the process, you can leave a weekly drop-in, a mastermind group or a yearly plan early. Just tell us by email at info@icanthinking.com.
- Fees you have paid up to that point are not refunded, but you will not be liable for the rest of the year's fees.
- If you have paid a full year's fee in advance, you are entitled to a refund of the proportionate fee for the time remaining after your cancellation takes effect. We will pay it promptly, to the payment method you used.
Your 14 day right to cancel
If you are a consumer buying from us online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days, starting the day we confirm it, without giving a reason. This right is for individuals buying for personal use. It does not apply if you are buying for your business, and iCan Grow is covered by its own written agreement.
To cancel, tell us clearly by email at info@icanthinking.com. You can use any wording you like, for example: "I want to cancel my order of [name of plan], ordered on [date]."
If you cancel within the 14 days, we will refund what you paid within 14 days of hearing from you, using the same payment method. If you asked us to start your access or sessions during the 14 days, we will keep a fair amount for what you have already received, up to the day you told us you were cancelling.
When you buy digital content, such as access to the courses and the iCan app, we will ask you at checkout to confirm that you want access to start straight away, and that you understand you lose the right to cancel under this section once access has begun. Our early leaving policy above still applies to you after that, and may give you more.
Results and advice
We help you build better thinking, habits and plans, but we cannot promise particular results, because they depend on what you do and on circumstances we do not control. Our courses, coaching and community are not medical, psychological, legal, tax or financial advice, and they do not replace it. If you have concerns about your health or finances, please speak to a qualified professional.
Looking after the community
The iCan Community works because people are kind and supportive. Please treat others with respect, keep other people's posts private, and do not share anything unlawful, abusive or misleading. We may remove content, or close an account, if these guidelines are broken.
Your account
Please keep your sign-in details private and keep the information in your account accurate. You are responsible for what happens under your account. What you write in the app is yours, and you give us permission to store and display it so that we can run the service.
Our content
The courses, videos, workbooks, meditations and other materials are owned by us. You may use them for your own personal development. Please do not copy, share, resell or publish them without our written permission.
Our responsibility to you
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Otherwise, our responsibility for any loss is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.
Changes to the service and these terms
We keep improving iCan Thinking, so the services and these terms may change. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in advance.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@icanthinking.com. We would like the chance to put things right.
